2.1 Container for transportation

To transfer the kitten in transport simply on hands dangerously both for a kitten, and for passengers.
For animals transportation there are special containers which now are on sale in the big assortment in specialized shops for animals. They are of various sizes, forms and are made of various materials. Light plastic containers which are convenient for disinfection are very practical. We recommend to buy the big container that you could use when the kitten grows.
To make it comfortable for the kitten, put on a bottom of the container a coverlet. If it is dark in the container, the kitten feels more safe. Don't forget that the stress during the transportation can become a reason of "a confusion”, take a paper towel and a spare laying.
If you take away a kitten from the parental house in this container, then, having got to new conditions, he begins to perceive it as a part of the nest and to consider the container as the refuge. If you have to transport the pupil  in future, being in the native container, it will be much less nervous. Besides the container is irreplaceable in the event that there will be a necessity to isolate a kitten or an adult cat for a while. The small container should be changed in process of growth of a kitten, and among animals sometimes there are such ardent proprietors who can apprehend substitution very hard and don't accept the new container, remaining loyal to an old one where in 4 - 5 months will be space enough only for half of its body.

2.2. Bowls

For kitten`s feeding two pans will be necessary - for food and water which is necessary to wash after each meal and from time to time to sterilize. They should be stored separately from human ware and be used only for the designated purpose. Animal shops offer plastic pans of the diversified forms, every possible colors and the sizes in the big assortment.
Once a year it is recommended to change plastic pans as they become covered in due course by scratches in which bacteria develop, and it becomes difficult to disinfect them. There are dual samples of the cat's ware but if you have stopped the choice on this variant it is better if the pans are demountable.

It is very convenient to use the enameled and ceramic ware. Ceramic and porcelain saucers which can be used constantly are especially convenient, they are easily washed and disinfected, food keeps fresh longer in them. Very valuable that they are very steady.
Pans made of stainless steel are very convenient, practical and hygienic.

For your kitten it is better to have several pans for food. Then it is possible to substitute them, the one is washed, the other is in operation.

The sizes of the cat's ware should be that to contain one portion of meal. If you don't want to get a special ware, it is necessary to remember that the plates chosen from your kitchen arsenal should necessarily be superficial and steady. If the bowl from which your cat eats, is very big than there is a danger that you will regularly overfeed your cat - in the big plate the cat's portion will seem so insignificant that you will want to put more.

Usually cats eat very tidily, but they can pull out and eat some slices near a bowl, therefore it is desirable to put ware on a small rug. Sometimes a place where the cat eats, is covered with an oilcloth, for the same purpose it is possible to use a flat tray.
And one more rule - from the first day get a quiet corner for the kitten's meal and further never change a feeding place. Cats are rather sensitive to an order and if it is changed, they worry much.

2.3. Grooming accessories:

1.a comb with rare teeth for daily grooming and combing of elf-lock;
2.a comb with medium rare teeth for careful fur combing;
3.a fine-tooth comb for combing out the dropped out strands of fur, a dirt and if it is required, also insects;
4.a brush with natural bristle for elimination of the dropped out hairs;
5. a smoothing brush for branching the longest hairs from each other;
6. a protein conditioner or a weak solution of lemon acid;

2.4. Where to sharpen claws for a cat?

You should know that when the cat scratches your favourite chair, it doesn't behave bad - as a matter of fact, it orders the claws, removing their external layer, and also marks the territory. If you want to protect the furniture, provide your cat with scratching post. The younger the cat the easier it will be to accustom it to use a scratching post. The cat will never do what it doesn't want to do. At training it is necessary to persuade a cat softly to change its natural behavior.

When you see that your cat is going to sharpen the claws with furniture, rebuke it and softly put its paws on the scratching post. It is possible to make it more attractive for a cat by pounding on it a little of cat's mint. Ready scratching posts have different design.
There is a huge assortment of posts, capable to satisfy any of your and your cat's whim. Some cats prefer to sharpen claws in the horizontal position, some - in vertical or inclined; one prefer a surface made of cloth, others – of sisal. If you have noticed that your cat sharpens claws in the right place, praise it – pat its head, tell a tender word, treat with a titbit. It is funny to observe, how the cat asks to eat, scratching the post and looking into your eyes.

Among the most favourite toys - a mouse with a smell of the cat's mint, the sacks filled with it, soft balls and feathers, plastic toys. Be careful of children's rubber toys. Casually having swallowed a picked slice of such toy, the cat can be lost. Under the influence of gastric juice the rubber inflates, can stick to a gut and cause a peritonitis.

2.6. Furniture for a cat

You, of course, can equip a very convenient nest for your kitten from your point of view, but will be not the first owner, whose efforts have been neglected. Most cats prefer to choose a place for rest by themselves and some cats aren't inclined to hide in corners. Cats often choose for rest such places, whence they can observe everything that happens in the apartment. As if understanding the irresistible beauty of their own, they prefer to recline at ease in an effective pose on a sofa or on a carpet in the middle of the room so that the loving owners could admire their "treasure".

Cats  like wide window sills, work and dining tables, shelves and low cases. For the night rest they usually choose 2 - 3 constant places and use them depending on mood, but anyway "sleeping" places are always located near the bed of the owner.
In specialized cats shops cozy small houses and graceful sleeping baskets are on sale. Try to offer them to your kitten but even if it is mad about its new "bedder", anyway you have to put it where your cat will choose.

It is very important to pick up a place where your kitten could sharpen its claws. If you don't think of it in advance, the kitten itself will find a place for this purpose, but it is quite possible that it will be a sofa corner, and hardly excessive tensions on an upholstery will decorate your furniture. It is always possible to get the scratching post in specialized shops. The scratching post should be the  length a cat, having risen on hind legs, couldn't reach its upper edge.
It is possible to get the real many-storeyed cat's apartments in shops which combine small houses and shelves,  it is possible to hang up toys on them, and they have accessories for sharpening claws. Cats usually use such things with the big enthusiasm.
